Introduction

American International Group Inc (AIG) is a multi-line insurance group. The group provides a range of life insurance, property and casualty insurance, retirement products, and other financial services to individuals and businesses. It offers insurance products for general liability, directors and officers’ liability, property, workers’ compensation, marine, aerospace, environmental, commercial automobile liability, term life, universal life, fidelity, fiduciary liability, cyber risk, and errors and omissions. It also offers political risk insurance, accident and health insurance, personal auto insurance, travel insurance and individual and group retirement products. The group markets and distributes its products through brokers, captive and independent agents, affinity partners, retailers, and airlines and travel agents. AIG operates in the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. AIG is headquartered in New York, the US. The group reported premiums of US$31,857 million for the fiscal year ended December 2022 (FY2022), an increase of 2% over that in FY2021.
